UCSF quoted Professor Engler saying, “she was “astounded” to see that when compared with other flavonoid-rich foods such as blueberries, tomatoes and tea, chocolate was the clear winner. Dark chocolate has 13 times the antioxidant capacity of broccoli, for example.”

They may not experience the exact same symptoms as a man which is why it is so important that they understand and learn what those are so they can identify. I am not surprised about heart disease case in women, the menopause is a great factor for that disease which a considerable part of women ignore it completely , different ways to keep good balance to the body as before the menopause, chocolate is one of it, chocolate can enhance the serotonin as an anti-depressant and a very strong anti-oxidant plus the minerals that help the body to be stronger & younger…

You’re site is so pretty =) I love all the news about chocolate. Dark chocolate isn’t my favorite but I am getting more used to it. My Mother died of a sudden massive heart attack when she was only 48. I’m doing everything I can to make sure my heart is healthy! =)

I used to only eat milk chocolate and couldn’t stand the flavor of dark because of that after taste. When I was introduced to healthy chocolate I was very surprised that it did NOT have the same taste as commercial chocolate and is very pleasant tasting. As a matter of fact those I have shared it with have said ‘THIS IS NOT DARK CHOCOLATE!!’ I smile at them and say ‘Yes it is 😉 ‘

Hi Sarah! I do spend a lot of time researching. My mission is to help educate those who want to learn about the health benefits of chocolate. If you say you like dark chocolate but you eat too much of it, then you must embrace healthy chocolate because it is completely guilt free. It is a sweet treat that is a supplement. You get to eat it 3 times a day! YOU should be eating this type of chocolate to truly get that chocolate hug your body desperately needs.
